In the week leading up to our appointment, moisturize your skin every day. Organic coconut oil or raw shea butter are enough, simple and effective.
If you are preparing for a large piece or a blackout, arnica oil three times a day for three days will make your skin more supple and the session more comfortable for your body.
Preparing Your Body
Get enough sleep before the session.
Eat a proper meal and stay hydrated. Bring something to snack on and drink, especially for long sessions.
Wear comfortable, dark clothing suited to the area being tattooed. If we are working on an intimate area, plan for loose underwear that you feel at ease in.
Have dark sheets or a clean towel ready for the following night.
Caring for Your Tattoo
Organic coconut oil or shea butter, and a pH-neutral soap. A baby soap works perfectly.
Keep your living space clean and keep your pets away from the freshly tattooed area.
Opt for loose clothing and avoid friction.
Be careful with the sun during the first few weeks, and cover your skin with light clothing.
I will walk you through the full healing protocol in person, tailored to your skin and the piece we have done.
